LanguageCert International ESOL (Listening, reading, writing) – ‘Written exam’

LanguageCert International ESOL Qualification (Listen, READING, Writing) commonly called “Written exam”.

 

The exam is fun and entertaining to take, as candidates face interesting language tasks from everyday life events, such as writing letters to friends, exchanging their thoughts, hearing an interesting story or reading a news story – just to name a few examples; STILL, the nature of the tasks varies according to the level of qualification.

 

The exam is available in both paper and computer format.

 

The written exam offers a range of tangible benefits:

 

Student and teacher friendly exam, which requires little specific preparation for the exam

Exam duration: circle 2.5 hours depending on the level of qualification

Flexible structure:

Listening section: 26 question

Reading part: 26 question

Writing section: 2 office

All questions in the Listening and Reading sections, AND 2 the tasks of the Writing section are equivalent.

 

Pass grade: at least 50% generally in all sections. There are no thresholds or restrictions per section. For more details, please see the table below

Certificate of International English Language Certificate for speakers of other languages (listen, READING, writing) is given to successful candidates

What are the rules of assessment of the written exam?

The LanguageCert International ESOL exam set directly aligns with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) produced by the Council of Europe. The written exam is rigorously evaluated based on the criteria set by CEFR. The grades given will be either High Pass, Pass ose Fail.

All examiner are approved by LanguageCert and undergo rigorous and frequent training and moderation, to ensure that grades are awarded strictly in accordance with CEFR levels and LanguageCert exam requirements.
