5 Tips for a Successful Online Teaching

  1. Taking things seriously

For a successful online teaching, you need to cultivate the mentality that your time is worth it. From the beginning, you need to create rules that your students will follow and abide by. Since you are teaching from home as well as your students are taking the course from home as well, there is a great temptation to really calm down and cancel the lesson at the last minute. For me, this is not something suggested both for you teacher and for you student, as in such a way, your success is not growing, but you will also have less and less space to make up for that wasted learning time.

  1. Control your audio

Audio is the most important aspect of a successful online learning. Without it, your students may not improve their listening or pronunciation skills. The importance of investing in a good pair of headphones is emphasized. Since not all ears are created equal, what looks good to a student, not necessarily must be good and for another. So all you have to do, is to suggest to your student and help him to be clearly heard because he is already investing to take a course with you.

  1. Prepare best

If you are new to online teaching, moss in stress! Be prepared. Sustainability always wins. First of all, be willing to explain and guide your students through the various technology issues they may face.

  1. Focus on work

It often happens from the moment we turn on the computer, open pages that we use most often, and: fb, email or any random page, all you have to do is close it before the lesson starts and pay attention to your student. Using the phone, Email or any other account, is first unprofessional, but above all these students pay you large sums for teachers to teach them and not for those who lose concentration.

  1. You have to commit and be friendly

First, as has been pointed out several times, for you teachers it is important to cross the technological barrier and adapt. Since you are teaching from home, the dress you are teaching does not matter much, even wearing pajamas.

Smile! Listening to a favorite song or relaxing before class, helps you to increase your energy and be more motivated even though you had a day full of other commitments.
